Our organization is a nonprofit that serves children and families experiencing homelessness, so we will use this week to advocate and raise awareness on social media for the issues of housing and food insecurity in our community. Our organization has a giving shelf for families in need so we will be hosting an in-kind donation drive for the items that we need throughout that week. We will also be partnering with the Caring Place, a local nonprofit that works with food insecurity in the community, to host a food drive for their organization. We are also working on putting together a resource list to give out during this week that is composed of local nonprofits and organizations that help with food insecurity and homelessness.
