November 16 -24th is Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week – and with your help, we can help fight hunger right here in our community. Please join us in the fight to end hunger by joining us on Saturday November 16th from 10a-2p for our 3rd Annual Food Drive … ensuring our neighbors & friends go to bed with full bellies this Holiday Season!

Just bring a non-perishable food item and allow us to treat you to a delicious fall-inspired brunch to fill your belly. All food will be donated to Preble Street Food Programs – a huge partner in helping to feed Portland.

A few facts about Hunger & Homelessness in the United States.

• Many Americans are living on the edge, forced to choose between basic necessities like purchasing food, paying rent, or going to the doctor.

• 43.1 million Americans live below the poverty level

• 549,000 Americans are homeless on a typical night

• 42 million Americans are at risk of suffering from hunger

• 1 in 5 children in the U.S. live in poverty

Some suggestions for food items: Salad Dressing, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Tea Bags, Breakfast Cereal, Coffee, Canned Soup, Stew, Pasta/Sauce & Spices
