I sit on our City’s Housing & Human Services Committee — just last week we mentioned Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week but no one is quite sure what to do for it yet to make it meaningful. The committee used to make that its centerpiece activity for the year with food and sock and toiletry drives, but it’s been pushed to the back burner by housing. Wondering if other communities have the same issue and how they are marking HHWeek. I will welcome any resources or ideas.
