The entire school district staff of over 450 will receive training throughout the week on the identification of homelessness and appropriate, targeted local support available for students and families.

Throughout the week and into December, the school district is partnering with Harps Food for “Grocery Sacks for Backpacks,” allowing for Harps customers to purchase a $10 grocery sack of food that will feed one of our students for a weekend. The grocery sack will be donated to one of our seven food pantries to be used for one of the over 100 food backpacks that are provided to at least 100 students weekly.

Our bi-annual Project Serve Success Fair will be held on November 16th. The community and grant sponsored event allows for homeless and other at risk families to access a wide variety of resources to assist during the winter season. Stations include coats, toboggans, gloves, socks, basic medical care items, personal hygiene items, food boxes, books for kids, PreK information, food boxes, and more.
