On Saturday, November 16—the start of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week—please join the community of artists at Artshack Brooklyn to raise funds for Bread & Life, a Bed-Stuy nonprofit that serves 3,000 meals each day and offers a range of social services for our neighbors in need.

1.2 million New Yorkers do not have reliable access to food, including 1 in 5 children. Homelessness in New York City recently reached the highest levels since the Great Depression, and families with children make up more than two-thirds of the shelter population.

At Empty Bowls, each participant chooses (and keeps!) a handmade bowl by a local artist and shares a meal of soups, stews, breads, and desserts from local chefs. Add a tumbler or mug to your ticket—it comes with your choice of beverage—and enter the raffle and silent auction for prizes.

All are welcome.
