What is rucking?
Rucking is the action of walking with weight on your back. Walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack) is a low impact exercise based on military training workouts. Hiking is rucking in the mountains and urban hiking is simply called rucking. You’ve probably even spent time rucking – traveling, bringing books to school, or on your commute to work. Carrying weight is a necessary part of life, and as it turns out, humans are naturally good at it, too. (goruck.com)
Join us after the Ruck for fun activities and an opportunity to win prizes!
All Ruck participants must complete the Liability Waiver and bring it with them to the event.
Thank you to all participants and businesses for taking an interest in helping our students! It helps more than you will ever know! If you can’t participate, please share this event. See you on November 12th!

Since Corvallis Housing First places the formerly homeless into permanent supportive housing, we will be showcasing how entering housing has transformed our clients relationship to food. Throughout the week of November 12-20, we will feature on our facebook/instagram a few clients sharing their favorite meals, or even a short video of them cooking in their unit. As an extension of this, we are planning on making recipe cards featuring a client’s chosen meal. We will then distribute these at participating grocery stores and local restaurants.
