I go to a bar every Friday. While there I head out for a smoke finding homeless gentleman who know me to be there every week at the same time. I offer them a smoke and conversation. I head back in and pay my tab and leave my tip. On my way home I notice expensive cars. I think back to my gentleman living on the street. Then it clicked… what if I could get a large car company to “Match the Tips” at the bar to then go to shelters in the area.

This endeavor will be a win-win-win for everyone involved:
1 Patrons will be pleased knowing their tips are being matched by a sponsor who cares.
2 The sponsor will be held in good regard by patrons and the public, as well as receiving advertising for the sponsorship.
3 Bar staff will catch a boost in tips from patrons
4 (Most important) Shelters and other social services will receive capital which they will then be able put to use in a variety of ways.

I call this project “MatchTips”.
