POTTSTOWN - Legal Aid of Southeastern PA will hold a legal outreach in Pottstown on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 316 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Stop by our table in the church kitchen during Essential Pantry (food pantry) and hot meal.

The outreach will provide free legal services for individuals with low incomes and those who are experiencing homelessness.

On November 15, 2023 from 12-2pm we will be providing food, shoes, winter accessories, personal hygiene products, HIV testing and enrolling the homeless in our navigation program. The navigation program can provide housing assistance and supportive services including utility deposits, rental assistance, childcare fees, legal fees, food and assistance with employment.

The HPAC of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc organization (a non-profit, community service organization) will be providing community meals to a women’s homeless shelter on November 11. This shelter is for single residents, without dependents, and usually house up to 22 women. We will provide meals for approximately 25 people (including staff), fellowship with the women, and provide gift bags filled with take-home snacks, drink/water, and inspirational gifts.

During the week we will offer tours of the homeless shelter, Friday evening a local author will do a reading followed by a dessert reception in the shelter's conference room, and Saturday we will host an Awareness Walk with learning stops and luncheon with shelter residents sharing their story. The walk will be held at our local community college.
