In recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness has partnered with Connecticut Conference of Municipalities and Sustainable CT to launch our municipal homelessness prevention campaign this week. This is not a specific event, but rather a set of opportunities for communities around our state to begin engaging with work to end homelessness locally, in their regions, and around the state. CCEH is asking towns to pass resolutions committing the town to ending homelessness in the region and taking specific actions which will be rewarded by points under the Sustainable CT certification framework starting in January of 2021.

CCEH is also pleased to be launching our annual be homeful for the holidays campaign this week. The be homeful project gives kids, families, and communities tools for learning about how homelessness affects local children and taking action to help by raising much-needed shelter diversion funds to help local families stay at home. We are looking for kids in Connecticut to join our group of be homeful ambassadors, a group of passionate young leaders committed to ending homelessness in their communities and around the state.
