Every year from 11/21 – 11/22 we host a Sort and Pack where volunteers come out to a High school parking lot that we get a permit for and sort and organize donated food into family boxes which we then distribute to our partner nonprofit agencies who issue that food to individuals experiencing food insecurity. We are planning to make 3000 family boxes and distribute 4000 frozen turkeys this year. This is a perfect event for Hunger & Homelessness Awareness week because the whole event is about helping us reduce hunger during the holiday season. We are taking proper precautions to ensure we follow COVID-19 safety guidelines during our planning of this event as well.
