We want to do a fundraiser for food for the local homeless shelter. We got in contact with a local pizzeria who is giving us pies for $10, We were going to sell the slices for one dollar and each dollar equates to a can good given back to the local homeless shelter. Unfortunately many college students need incentives to donate money so the pizza would encourage people to donate.

On Friday, November 17, 2023 The Wellspring Alliance and Louisiana Housing Corporation will hold an event for our homeless clients. They can come and receive haircuts, snack bags and lunch all free of charge. We will also have our local EMT service providers onsite for blood pressure checks as well as other minor medical check ups, Medicaid will be on site, the VA and the wireless company that provides free phones to those who qualify.
Currently we are in need of snack type foods for snack bags: peanut butter crackers, pop-top cans, fruit cups, granola bars, individual peanut butter packs and spoons. We are also very low on baby wipes, diapers of all sizes, baby blankets and infant clothing 0-24 months. We are also in need of winter coats, hats and gloves.

On Nov. 21st the resource fair will begin and they will offer a variety of resources to the public. We will have a mobile shower unit, provide hygiene kits, substance abuse support and more resources.

Hello! I was just today made aware that an event we had already planned is coinciding with Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week! I had no idea that this existed and it is wildly coincidental that our Fundraiser is happening this Saturday at the start of the awareness week.
Michael Haller Photography (www.michaelhallerphotography.com) is hosting a Family Photo Fundraiser with all proceeds being donated to Bethesda Project in Philadelphia PA. We are doing styled holiday card family photo sessions with a raffle and giveaways to help raise awareness and funds to support our homeless Philadelphia neighbors this holiday season. Any help you can provide in getting the word out in the next few days would be appreciated, though I know we are just learning about one another last minute. Next year's event will be better timed!
