Host a livestream media-thin to raise m awareness and money. Money will be used for our daily feeding program and social services for hunger and homelessness prevention. Monies will also be used towards providing Thanskgiving Baskets to those in need in the community.

Our activity for the week is the Miriam's Kitchen GuestFest, a virtual event where we will commemorate Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week by coming together to highlight what it will take to end chronic homelessness in the District. Hear from MK staff, guests, and others about what you can do to support our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

We are still in the beginning stages of planning events for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. They include a sleep out, a simulation, a hunger banquet, among other things. We were interested in getting updated materials (e.g., posters, brochures, etc.) to hand out and decorate our student union building.
