SAMMinistries will run a primarily digital campaign, Sunday, November 15 through Saturday, November 21, focused on the many needs of families experiencing hunger and homelessness, especially during the holiday season. The campaign will encourage individuals and groups to donate Christmas gifts, food, and home items for families experiencing homelessness, as well as share stories of hope and healing. SAMMinistries is also working with community partners to hold volunteer opportunities and drives throughout the week.

In collaboration with Chef Hui (https://www.chefhui.com/), and shelter providers, we are coordinating meal distributions for families experiencing homelessness. We anticipate delivering 315 meals to children and adults throughout the week of Nov 15th-22nd.
In addition, we will design a social media awareness campaign to share data on hunger and homelessness issues locally, solicit donations for wish list items, and highlight community efforts to combat hunger and homelessness.
Even if we are faced with this pandemic, following social distancing requirements, we believe these campaigns can bring awareness about hunger and homelessness.
