MASSPIRG Students are collecting goods for the Lifebridge food pantry & soup kitchen. There is a week-long food drive on campus, and students will be collecting donations outside of Crosby's Marketplace on Monday 11/15 from 4:00-6:00 as well. At the end of the week, on Friday 11/19 at 6:00 pm, students and local leaders will gather to learn more about the issue of hunger and homelessness in Salem and build connections in order to better work together and fight poverty in their community.

Students can stop by, grab some goodie bags, hear about the resources provided by the food pantry, and take action by signing on in support of the Hunger Free Campus legislation. The food pantry will also be launching their mobile pantry at this time.

We will be holding a food box distribution event on Tuesday, November 16th from 10am-12pm and an additional Thanksgiving Food Box Distribution event on Saturday, November 20th from 9-11am on our campus. These food boxes are filled with fresh produce, meats, and healthy, protein-rich goods to help sustain a family of 4 for 3 days and anyone in need of food assistance.
